LIMITED RELEASE STOUT CASK EDITION TWO WHISKY:

A big, bold, juicy single malt whisky with notes of plump sultanas, salted toffee & dark chocolate. Think dark cherry ripe in a glass..

This is the greatly anticipated sequel to our hugely popular Stout Cask edition one, which sold out in under an hour to members of our email list who had priority access and didn’t even make it to public release on our website.

“Absolutely delicious and has a lot going on.. This has more depth of flavour and slightly bigger mouthfeel than the first Stout Cask edition and as that was my favourite release from Waubs Harbour, that’s saying something. Even though it has an ABV of 59% there’s no alcohol burn.. They got it spot on.” - Ian Allinson, loyal customer.

Matured firstly in an ex-Tawny Port casks, finished in a cask previously home to Bicheno Beer Co’s award-winning Barrel Aged Imperial Stout.

Matured on the edge of the ocean at Waubs Harbour and bottled at a decadent 59% ABV.  Only 618 bottles in this entire release.

*May contain a trace of dairy from the stout cask maturation.

THE IMPERIAL STOUT:
This is our second collaboration with local legends Tom and Phil from our local boutique brewery, Bicheno Beer Co.

A truly circular collaboration, their Barrel Aged Imperial Stout was aged in old Waubs Harbour casks, before the casks were refilled with our new make spirit to create what is now our Stout Cask Edition Two whisky!

An incredibly rich, full of flavour and decadent Stout that was awarded a Gold medal at the Indie Brewers awards late last year.

Rob's Tasting Notes

Nose

Salted toffee, well aged tawny, cinnamon, star anise, creamy bittered stout.

Palate

Salted toffee, caramelised waffle cone, woody sultana, citrus orange with the bitterness of the dark chocolate.

Finish

Evolving aged woody port bouncing off the dark chocolate bitterness. Think dark cherry ripe.
