MARITIME WHISKY TASTINGS:
Join us for a guided whisky tasting exploring the connection between coopering and whisky maturation.
Each session will feature four whiskies, including a special limited release for AWBF 2027, with Laurie sharing how timber and the coopering process influence the whisky in the barrel.
Bookings open with the full Festival Program in late October.

COOPERING DEMONSTRATIONS:
Laurie of @harboursidecooperage, who coopers our barrels on-site at Waubs Harbour, will be at Hobart’s waterfront, demonstrating how timber staves are shaped, fitted and fired to create barrels, sharing the craft’s deep connection with wooden boatbuilding and the way timber influences the whisky resting inside.
Visitors can drop by across the day to watch, ask questions and learn more.
