2025... A momentous year for Waubs Harbour

A few highlights from the year that no doubt many of you will remember - events that you’ve been to, projects that you’ve closely followed & of course, whiskies that you’ve enjoyed.

In 2025, we released some very special Limited Release whiskies, each one uniquely made - from culturing our own fresh yeast in-house, the second edition of a local collaboration with Bicheno Beer Co., our very first lightly peated whisky using local, coastal peat & a special collaboration with barrel Cooper, Laurie.

      

We built our on-site Smokehouse, enabling us to improve & increase capacity to smoke our Tasmanian barley for our upcoming peated whiskies (currently maturing in barrel!) and be able to experiment with subtle changes to our flavour profile.

Our Waubs Original was awarded Category Winner at the World Whiskies Awards in the UK and Waubs Harbour was featured in the media in USA, UK & all around Australia.

 
We hosted over 3000 visitors for Distillery Tours & Guided Whisky Tastings, with an average 5 star review.

Our small team hand-bottled, hand-labelled and hand-wrote thousands of bottles on-site, each with the utmost care taken (if you have one of our bottles, you’ll know!).

We hosted events & tastings all around the country - launch events at the distillery, Tas Whisky Week, pre-launch tastings of our Limited Releases around Aus, Whisky Abbey, The Whisky Show, private events & many more.

 

We launched new merchandise, hosted a crayfish comp for the opening of the cray fishing season here on the east coast of Tas and everything in between..!
