This is our maritime Tasmanian take on a classic Sherry-matured lightly peated whisky. This is no ashtray - it’s light, nutty & delicious at 47.8% ABV.

Made by lightly smoking our Tasmanian malted barley with local coastal salt marsh peat bringing a subtle, salty smoke. Matured in ex-Apera Sherry casks right here on the edge of the ocean at Waubs Harbour in Bicheno, Tas.

“It’s a beautiful whisky. Last year we did the first edition Salt Marsh which was a Bourbon light style peated whisky. This year I was focusing on Sherry in particular as there’s some really lovely briny notes that come across in Sherry, as well as the sweet fruits.

“The best part about this palate is there’s this big dried pear that works with the nutty, earthiness of this peat and as well as the malt. That dried pear from the Apera Sherry is just delicious, it sets the base note, and then we’re getting the nutty earthiness that’s so complimentary to this flavour, it fills it right out.
