Bottled at cask strength of 63% bringing a real intensity to the whisky.
Rob's tasting notes describe rich dried fruits; pear, apricot and fig with a salted caramel and almond overlay, a dash of orange and buttery malt backbone. Think cherry ripe. Drinks very well at full strength or add water to open it up. See full tasting notes below.
Like glazed cherries with cinnamon tea cake. A hint of salted caramel and weathered oak.
Dried pear, fig and apricot. Orange citrus notes to balance sweetness while oak adds that spiced complexity.
Dried fruits to begin which give way to cream/butter with nutty, earthy oak notes. Keeps you wanting to go back for more.
