This sweet, elegant Apera Cask Strength from our Preview Series began it’s life in a 20L ex-Apera Sherry French Oak cask in Bond Room 3 at Waubs Harbour Distillery and was later finished in a 100L ex-Apera Sherry French Oak cask. Bottled at cask strength of 62.6% bringing an added intensity to the whisky. Like a custard flan on the palate finished with lingering buttered fruits. See Rob's full tasting notes below.
Intense, complex sweet fruity nose. Peach apple esters, underpinned by cherry malt.
Think of a fruit custard flan; imagine the pastry buttered, the custard, topped with sugar glazed fruits. Mouth coating is sweet cherry malt. Elegantly balanced.
