This single malt whisky began its life in 20L ex-Apera Sherry French Oak casks then was finished in a second fill 100L ex-Apera Sherry French Oak cask and finally in a 200L ex-Bourbon American Oak cask.
The ex-Apera Sherry cask gives the whisky those delicious creamy stewed fruit and raisin undertones while the ex-Bourbon cask coats it in spice and wood sugars providing a delicious vanilla coffee addition.
