As part of this week's celebrations, we hosted some of our industry friends and partners for a launch event at Waubs Harbour on Saturday afternoon.
We began the launch event with the wonderful Elder Aunty Patsy Cameron who spoke on the life of Wauba Debar (who Waubs Harbour was named after) and welcomed us to Country, we roamed the distillery site, feasted on local seafood as fresh as it comes, prepared and cooked in front of us by local chef Andrew Gerstkamp, and of course, Head Distiller Rob guided us through a tasting of each of our three first release whiskies. We think it’s safe to say a good time was had by all!
We’ve been incredibly touched by the support from our Tassie whisky industry, from the newest distilleries through to the founders of the industry themselves (you know who you are), as well as those we partner with here at Waubs Harbour!
